About Region III of the AVAAVA Region III is a non-profit, 501(C)3 Corporation founded for the purpose of supporting vaulting in Region 3 of the American Vaulting Association, which includes Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington, and Wyoming. Our GoalsTo expand the opportunities for vaulters in our region by:- Sponsoring competitions in the region.
- Providing seed money to clubs for competitions or seminars.
- Sponsoring vaulting clinics and seminars.
- Developing educational material on vaulting.
- Providing scholarships for vaulters in Region III to seminars and the National AVA Competition.
- Assisting in forming new vaulting clubs by loaning equipment and locating suitable vaulting horses.
- Maintaining equipment to be loaned to new clubs during their start up period.
To promote the sport of equestrian vaulting to competitive, noncompetitive, and handicapped vaulters by:- Sponsoring a yearly conference that will include clinicians focused on both handicapped and regular vaulting.
To support the AVA member clubs in our region by:- Maintaining a web site that provides links to information on vaulting, contact information for vaulting clubs in our region, and contact information for the national association.
- Holding a yearly coaches seminar to focus on coaching techniques, how classes are judged, and horse training tips.
- Assisting coaches in our region to become certified by sponsoring a coaching seminar yearly.
